Concern Worldwide as a Navigator for Social Finance and SDGs: Building Community Resilience in Fragile States

This programme of study examines the practice of Concern Worldwide (Concern), a 50-year old international humanitarian organization working in 24 countries and its relevance as a private sector navigator in social change. Concern’s vision is“a world free from poverty, fear, and oppression. A world where everyone has access to the opportunities they need to live a long, healthy and creative life. A world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect,”. The case focuses on Concern’s effort and experiences to empower and build resilient communities in fragile states: Somalia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Kenya.
